Micro Operation

Just bought a Kimber Micro yesterday.

When in the cocked and locked position, should the slide be free to move back and forth. Seems like when I first used the weapon cocked and locked (hammer back, safe on) also locked the slide closed. But given I've only had the gun a day I'm honestly not sure, and the owner's manual is not wonderful.

Thks

The safety does not lock the slide.

Welcome to KT...
The Micro slide will move when the pistol is cocked and locked however if the pistol is not charged or cocked and the safety is engaged the slide WILL BE LOCKED in position.

Welcome to the forum. Glad you are reading your manual. Make sure that you clean and lube it well before taking it to the range. And make sure you report back here with a range report and photos! Good luck and happy shooting!
