Made a lunchtime visit to the Range today

Shot 100 rounds with the Micro 380. 50 rnds American Eagle & 50 rnds Remington both round nose FMJ rounds. First 50 rounds had a total of 6 failures, pretty much each magazine had issues (Kimber 6, Kimber 7 & Sig 7). 5 of the failures were FTE and the 6th was a FTF.

Next up was the Remington ammo.... 5o rnds with two FTE issues. Last two rounds of the three mags yielded no issues at all.

Also brought the UC II and shot a few magazines without one single issue. Lovin that gun !! So far have not had any issues (much like the M9).

The hour went pretty quick.

Bummer with the Micro. Do you have the new recoil spring kit from Kimber in there?

Yes, when I bought the gun a few months ago, it had the old style spring. Kimber sent me the upgrade, but I still had issues. Sent the pistol to Yonkers, but it came back with not much of an improvement. It's getting better for sure, but not ready for primetime yet. Still like to shoot this gun and I've not given up on it yet.

Ejection issuses can be caused by a loose grip especially with these small pistols. Lighter weight rounds also cause the same. Tight pistols like Kimbers usually work themselves out though.

I've been working on improving my grip, so if thats the case, it could have been me and not the gun. I'm planning to let one of the shooting instructers at the range shoot it next time to see if they experience any issues.

The wife has two Sig Sauer P238's, the Nitron and the Rainbow. Both of been perfect right out of the box. She also has a Kimber Micro Bel Air that needed a new spring and guide rod and now it runs like the Sigs. For Christmas she's going to get the Micro CDP LG. Got my fingers crossed. She shoots the little 380's pretty well.

My Micro did fine with the American Eagle FMJ. If you haven't, load up your mags and let them sit a few days, that may help? I think the idea of having someone else try is wise. If shooter "B" has similar problems I'd send it back again. My view on it is that the pistol should run flawlessly, most of the Micros out there do and you don't deserve less. I'd ask that it be replaced it the problems continue!!! JMO...

I'm in the same boat. My micro 380 is at Kimber now for the second time. I really like the pistol; it's fun to shoot, very accurate, easy to handle. I'm not giving up on it either. Hoping Kimber will get it right this time.
