Mama's Happy.....Everybody's Happy!

Her new Micro 380 CDP LG just ran a box of WWB Target with 0 malfunctions, the Laser was dead-on and she really likes it. She fired it two handed, strong hand and weak hand with no problems. Prior to going to the range I cleaned and lubed and co-witnessed the laser dot with the night sights. It was fun to see that red dot on the target turn into a black hole every time. It was snowing and cold at the range this afternoon but she had fun anyway. This Micro of hers is an awesome little machine. I can see a Micro 9 CDP LG in my future.

She received the gun by Christmas and it's working 100%, your the man this Christmas. Glad she's loving it, I bet she will love it even more when it's warmer out.

Always good to hear positive range reports on a first time out NIB gun! Nice going Kid! Of course I did not see any pictures so none of this happened!

How much cleaning and lubing is required on a new gun?
I still haven't received my wife's Bel-Air yet, and was wondering how thorough of a cleaning is required prior to 1st use.
When she got a Bersa Thunder 380, we went from the gun shop to the range and fired a box of CCI Blazer brass without cleaning and without any firing issues

Just a basic cleaning and lubing as explained in the owners manual is all that's necessary. You can download a copy of the manual if you want to study it before you get the gun.

Thanks Chuck43

Just looked at the manual and it's pretty specific for the lube points

Lubricate the following parts:
a. Slide and frame rails; 3 drops on each side.
b. Disconnector on top of frame; 1 drop.
c. Barrel hood; 2 drops spread across surface.
d. Barrel locking lugs inside slide and on barrel; 1 drop on each lug.
e. Barrel link; 1 drop behind link.
f. Slide stop pin; 1 drop spread across surface.
g. Outside of barrel; 3 drops spread across surface.
h. Cocked hammer; 1 drop in between the hammer and frame.
i. Guide rod; 1 drop spread across surface.

Just your average ,after range, disassemble and wipe down and re-oil. Just to look for anything unusual like the piece of plastic in the chamber that broke off from the chamber flag the factory puts in before shipping. If I had just loaded it and fired who knows what would have happened. BTW I got her the Belair last Christmas and had to call CS for the new recoil spring kit. That made a world of difference in reliability.
