New Micro Range Report...Bad News

Well, went to the range today to test run my new Micro. First mag was incredible. The single action was just what I wanted and the recoil felt like I was shooting a 22 cal compared to the LCP.
Bad news...2 round into the second magazine I began to have issues with the slide not going all the way into battery. I needed to nudge the slide to complete the cycle. This continued with every mag and every couple rounds. Needless to say I am unbelievably disappointed. If I recall someone else had the exact same issue but I can't find the thread. If that person sees this please let me know how things turned out with Kimber.

I went back to my LGS where I bought it and he tested it and and same thing. He also was disappointed as he as sold 12 with not an issue or complaint. He said I shouldn't have to send it back and he would do it for me.

Oh well. Just didn't expect this. But as for the Solo bashers, my solo was once again flawless. However, the biggest problem is now is my confidence in Kimber.

Not sure, but it may have been my issues with my Super Carry Pro you were thinking about. Here's a link to the thread https://www.kimbertalk.com/forums/kim...ge-report.html

As you will read in the thread, Kimber had me return the pistol after trying a couple other fixes & it's been flawless ever since they worked on it. They will stand behind their product.

Wow I wasn't expecting that and I know your certainly weren't. This is now the second report I've seen on malfunctioning Micro Carry's.

I was at the lgs yesterday and finally seen the Micro Carry.
That is a gorgeous Kimber and one that would definitely fit in my side pocket of my cargo shorts or in a pocket holster in the pocket of my Levis..
The slide racked as smooth as butter..

Oreste,
Sorry to hear about the problem with the Micro. I have not heard of any problems locally, but then they are just now starting to show up. I find it interesting to hear you say they are mild in the recoil area. Very interesting. The two colt 380's and Kahr 380 was TOO much for my wife. Have you had any previous experience with other 380 platforms to compare? Thanks and good luck!

From all the pictures and video's I've seen the Micro Carry is damn near identical to my Sig P238 and to say it's a mild shooting gun is an understatement. Even my twin 9 year old grandson's have shot it with no problems.
