Kimber Micro Malfunction Questions?

Hello I just joined the forum yesterday and just bought my first Kimber last week. I haven't had time to get to the range yet with my new Micro Carry. I have been reading all the threads and my question is are most of the Micro Carry 380's known to have a lot of problems? I have already put the updated guide rod and spring in, but from what I have been reading they seem like trouble. Has anyone here taking them out of the box and have just been perfect?

Yes. I have 2 micro .380 and 1 micro 9 that were out of the box new and had zero malfunctions. They are pretty accurate for a pocket gun also I might add.

You should be fine. I only had 2 failure to feeds in my first 150 rounds with the new style recoil spring assembly.

Dale440, do you have the flat wire spring or is it the original style round wire?

He says in his post "I have already put the updated guide rod and spring in".

The only way to find out if your new Kimber will have issues and that's to take it out and shoot it. Don't let reports from others bother you until you have range tested yours..

Welcome to KT from St Lou..

My Micro .380 has been absolutely flawless. My 9? Not so much, although it's lined out now. I usually am carrying one of the two.

I have a Micro 380 Raptor and it's been a great shooter...even before Kimber came out with the new spring/guide rod. Give us an update after your range visit.
