Range report teaser! More to come!

(Cause I'm racing to ship some orders and visit my machinist with a box of bodies to be tumbled, anodized, and engraved!)

2sharp2 and I had MAJOR fun yesterday! The surprise he was holding back on me was -- not ONLY does he have the Kimber Sapphire (oooooh pretty!); he ALSO just picked up the Sapphire Pro (oooooohhh! PRETTIER!)

This picture is the first magazine (the extended one, obviously) for the Micro's first firing. The top four were 'slow' and the bottom three were "fast" -- not actually fast, just not as careful/slow trying to regain aim. No, I did NOT clean and oil it before its first trip -- I'm still not sure HOW to do it -- so I'm gonna buy an hour of a gunsmith's time to have him or her teach me how to do all three... Arland and I did stop early on that put some oil on the Micro without disassembling it. (I brought the Slipstream kit with me.) I think, all told, about 150-200? of the .380 are now gone...

Delightful little gun! Once I know how to care for it, it will be my EDC. Very comfortable (although the 'came-with' magazine did bite my palm once, but that was user error... caught it between the metal edge and the well).

We had SUCH fun! I'll post more -- including a detailed description of the horrible (?) shooting (grip) mistake I make when (after) I fire...

Stick around!

It sounds like you both had a great time, I'm surprised that Arland bought the Sapphire Pro and didn't tell us. They look great sitting next to each other, now he has to get matching grips for them.

Great news. Don't feel bad, my Micro also bite my palm also last week with the extended mag. Enjoy. I just love the hell out of shooting that gun!

I am just full of surprises. I will take some hopefully better pics of the two Sapphires and get them posted up. Saw the Pro at Sportsman Warehouse, I went back a week later and they still had it so decided it needed to come home with me. Even though it was not next in line on the purchase list.

Oh the grips? The Ultra has very grippy Blue/Black grips I found on ebay, the Pro still has factory grips. Changed the Ultra grips because last time when my hand got sweaty the factory grips were a little slippery but the Pro was fine with the factory grip I guess because it is full size.

Glad y'all had a great time and a safe trip. Sorry I couldn't make it this time, but I'll cash in that rain check when I get a chance.

I can't get over how well lit that range is, it makes my local range look like a cave with candles for lighting.

I've been to some of those. I wonder why that is. Potential hijack material.
