My first one was on my Micro 9...All of the others have the regular recoil springs...I have gone to the Wilson Combat flat wire on 3 of my others.

Kimber started sending out the flat wire spring and guide rod kits early last summer. Prior to that the guide rod did not have a "notch" milled into it that tracks the barrel and allows more clearance for the flat wire spring to be installed.
I'm on my 2nd spring at this point. The first one did make the 1000 round mark and was still working, I only changed it out because that's the recommended interval. The previous springs, the original stockers, rarely went that far without becoming deformed or failing. I think it's unanimous the newer rig is an improvement. We've had a report here of the Sig P238 spring being a direct fit on the new Kimber guide rod and working flawlessly. I was looking at the Sig site today and the price for a three pack plus three firing pin springs was about $5.00 less than the Kimber 3 pack. The Kimber set doesn't come with the firing pin springs :-( Keep in mind Kimber has a minimum shipping fee for orders so you should get everything you need at once. I've never needed to use one (I have a pack) but if they're available I'd suggest getting a pack of the slide stop springs and firing pin springs too if you order to be safe.
...Don't forget those pics with the range report 427malibu, I figured it'd be best to remind you now that weeds legal in Cali :-)
...good luck with the Micro :-)

I'm sticking with the 238 recoil and firing pin springs!
