Difference in CDP Micro 9 & Micro 9

Hello, I just bought a New CDP Micro 9 a few days ago and wondered what is the Difference in the Two (CDP & plain Micro) other than a few Hundred Dollars?
Thanks

The difference is the CDP will have night sights, carry melt treatment, aluminum mainspring housing, stainless steel slide, checkered front strap, ambi safety, and I believe the CDP has the KimPro II finish on the frame, but I'm not positive. I have an older Micro CDP and the finish on the frame seems more durable than the finish on my newer Micro Raptor and the plain jane two-tone Micro I have, which I believe has the KimPro finish. The finish might even be anodizing, it's hard to tell, all I know is it seems to be tougher. I did upgrade the recoil spring and guide rod as well as the safety and slide stop lever. I prefer the older style hammer, but there isn't much difference. I got a great deal on a used unfired Micro CDP, which is now my favorite of the three.

Basically the pistols are the same, but your "few hundred dollars" got you some bells and whistles, which I find worth the higher price tag. The checkered front strap being the most useful followed by the night sights. I could live without the carry melt treatment.

These have been my findings, maybe someone else with more experience will chime in.

Thanks Sawman, I appreciate the Info!! I already own a 45 Ultra Carry 2, I haven't decided which one I like the best but I always have a pistol on me(we own a Farm with NO close Neighbors) So I carry 24/7 but sure like the Micro 9's weight!!!

I have the micro 9 cdp lg , it's a great gun. If you added night sights, laser grips, carry melt it would cost a lot more after. I purposely buy the cdp versions now because I have added these features and know that it will definitely cost more later.
