Range Report M380 and M9

Just when I think I'm out of the woods with the M380, I find that I am not, although it's not as bad as it used to be. I still think it will get there.

M 380 Fiocchi 95 gr. FMJ 50 rounds: 1 FTE, 2 nose dives. Only shot 50 rounds today.

Micro 9 Magtech 115 FMJ 50 rounds: still having the 7 round mag drop during shooting, 3 mag drops and had 2 nose dives with the ball ammo which is a first, so maybe it was something I was doing. I was pressed for time today.

Target is at 8 yards for both pistols, fliers are from the M9 probably because I was getting beaned in the head with ejections! So if they are ejecting too low, what needs to be adjusted and how? I bought the night sights, so when I have them installed I will have the smith make extractor (?) adjustment too.

Shot the Glock 19 today too, still like shooting that thing! No failures, no photo of the target either.

...on the bright side it looks like you're pretty accurate with the little Micros :-) Sorry they're not doing better for you :-(
...I'm not sure I know what you mean by nose dives???

Looks like some good patterns.......I wouldn't want to be out front. Hope you get the other problems solved.

I would send them back. Not as bad as it used to be is unexceptionable. These aren't range guns they are carry guns and until they are 100% reliable I would keep sending them back.

The tip of cartridge is hitting the feed ramp and angling down.

I think you are right about that. The M9 has never been there and prior to today I've only had problems with the mags dropping out. The 380 has been back twice already, but probably should go for another round trip! Going to hold off on the M9, clean it up, go back out with it and shoot it with the 6 round mags.

Some good shooting, sorry about the troubles you are having with M9 and M380. I know what you mean about shooting the Glock, I feel the same way. It ain't pretty but mine has never failed in 1100 rounds. Good luck.

Nice accuracy! Hate to see what it would be like if you had a little time on your hands!
