Micro holster-games

Filling up my holster drawer...

I just got this which is cute-as-hell and I really like how it fits the Micro! I'm still (alas) carrying in my purse -- but between this wee holster, and the wee gun -- I no longer have to carry a great huge messenger bag (which I bought specifically to carry the S&W 9MM). (Yes, I'm heading toward on-body carry -- but haven't quite figured it out yet. Still waiting on the ... is it the Flashbang that hangs from a bra? They haven't yet been able to see if their tiny one fits the Micro well enough: their LGS did not have one!)

So, first is this, the one I'm using. DeSantis Inside Heat (yes, I'm a leftie...). I took the (metal) clip off, so it wouldn't score-up the leather on the purse. It is SO cute -- and it fits the Micro beautifully -- covers the trigger, holds firmly and slides off easily enough.

I took the clip off this too -- if fits the Micro very well, but I ended up using it for my S&W 9mm. I was not yet carrying the Micro, and it fit (and better protected the trigger than what I had been using), so I started carrying the 9mm in this.

It's the Crossfire Women's Pulse Concealed-Carry Ambidextrous Holster, which I bought from Cabela's. VERY rigid, holds both 9mm and the Micro quite firmly. Heavier than the DeSantis leather (!)

Here's a link to what I use in my purse. Once you have the velcro support piece, you can very easily change holsters. I have 2 holsters - one for my P238 & one for my Super Carry Ultra HD.

Tried this (pocket holster) for the 9mm (forgot to bring the 9mm up out of the safe, so I used the Compact CDP II in the pix). Clearly NOT for the Micro! (Prob'ly not for the CDP either?)

I can't find any paperwork on it -- so I don't know whose or where I got it (within the past two months... brain seems to be slipping! ) It's VERY soft suede, doesn't hold the gun at all (not supposed to?), and there is some kind-of screw thing that I think is supposed to allow a more secure hold... Sorry, can't tell you any more about it...

Anyway, just stealin' a few minutes out of my year-end accounting madness (just changed accountants too!) to see what's up 'round here!

oh! forgot, cause it hasn't come yet!

I just ordered one of these! I have not found a good way to carry a spare mag -- which makes me uncomfortable, even with the 7-not-6-round extended mag for the Micro...

Oh hey! Anyone else have a problem (IS it a problem?! ) with the screw holding the plastic extender onto the base of the (actual, from Kimber) extended mag unscrewing? When I unloaded the mags preparatory to flying to FLA (ask me about my vacation! ), I found that the plastic extender was wobbly -- because the screw had loosened. That's certainly disconcerting!!

Anyway, ran across info on this (literally: MagHolder), and ordered one. Horizontal mag belt-clip. Looks great (well, not-so-much if you don't wear a belt...) but I've been looking around for something to carry the spare in. I even spent part of my time in FLA trying to find a gun store, but it wasn't there: thanks for nothing, Google Maps! (Still I HAD rented (what turned out to be) a screamin'-down-the-road-red Camaro convertible (whoo hoo!) -- so driving around trying to find a gun store was an okay-way to spend a couple hours in Ft Lauderdale!! 72 and sunny! Will report back once I get the Magholder...

Update 2 years later: Of COURSE the holder for the Shield mag would NOT hold the mag for the Micro. Discovered by chance this year that my lawn guy carries a Shield,so gave it to him. He likes it.

El, you should be able to fix that loose screw yourself without any problems. Simply remove the screw, clean it and put some loctite on it or clean it with some nail polish remover then once it's dry put just a small dab of nail polish on it and screw it back in. Either way that screw won't work it's way loose again.

I really like having the ladies participating in gun/holster topics. Gives me ideas how I may be of assistance to my sweetie.
