Kimber .380 slide not locking back after last shot

I have two identical Micro .380s ( one is my wife's). Her works fine. Mine the slide does not lock back half the time. Both have the new spring and rod installed. I have tried all four magazines in my gun and the results does not change. All four magazines work ok in wife's gun. Any ideas?

I believe I saw a discussion about this somewhere on the forum, One the the thoughts was that slide might be hitting your hand and slowing down enough to keep the slide coming from back far enough to lock open. Has she fired your's? Have you fired hers? if so what were the results?

Good idea. I tied switching the problem followed the gun not the shooter.

Try swapping the slide stops and see if the problem follows. Make sure the slide stop spring is seated properly.

Is the same type of ammo being used? Just a thought...how many rounds have been put through each pistol? Maybe others will join in on this one with more advice.

Definitely try switching the slide stops like Chuck suggested. If it turns out the stop is the culprit Kimber will probably exchange it for you.

Change one thing at a time. You've gotten off to good start by ruling out shooter. Try different ammo, then try different mag if problem persists with different ammo.

Thanks for all the inputs. I will try different ammo and I will switch the slide stops ( I will have to wait until next week). One other interesting thing that happened today was when shooting Corbon carry ammo, one shot made little noise, did not cycle the slide and the bullet latterly fell to the floor of the range.

Had the same issue. Contacted Kimber. Replaced the slide stop and slide is now locking back.
