Safety won't engage when pistol is cocked.

I have had nothing but good experiences and good comments for Kimber Customer Service, but yesterday I had the strangest exchange with them. At the range Thursday, my micro's safety wouldn't engage when the gun was cocked. After taking it apart and removing and replacing the pin that holds the safety, I decided it was wayyy above my pay grade and decided to call Kimber. Customer Service told me that the safety was not supposed to be engaged when the pistol was cocked . A 1911 you're not supposed to carry cocked and locked? I tried explaining again and the guy repeated his position. I'll try again Monday! Anybody have this problem with their Micro 380? Is there an easy fix? Thanks everyone!

Seriously ? Someone actually said that ? SMH

You know and everyone else knows that it should except for the person who must have missed class that day in the "Kimber Customer Service Training Program"..

When you call back on Monday ask for the CS supervisor and tell them what that person told you and have them have a little talk with him/her so that info isn't repeated.

It would be pretty much useless to engage in any condition other than cocked. It's a little disappointing that Kimber has someone answering the phone in customer service giving out that kind of information.

Wow, that's not good on them! I have never had this issue with my 380 or micro 9. Sorry this happened to you. I hope Kimber can give you some answers on your next call.

I'm just screwed if the safeties not supposed to engage when the hammers pulled back. I'll be on the phone all day between Kimber, S&W, and Sig
