Just bought a micro!! Questions!

Hey guys, I just bought a a micro and had the chance to shoot it today. It was amazing. Not a single hiccup and man, what a joy to shoot! Couple of questions though...I have not heard or seen of these before today, how long has Kimber been producing them? Also, do you know of a good place to order magazines for them? And being new to the 1911 platform what kind of oil or lube do you recommend? Thanks a lot guys, proud to own a kimber!

Congrats! I ordered my mags from Kimber. I hadn't seen any on shelves when i looked. I use hoppes, it comes in many store gun cleaning kits.

Welcome to the forum from northern Illinois turnik and congratulations on the new Micro Carry. Kimber first debuted the Micro Carry at the 2014 Shot Show then announced more models at this years Shot Show but they've only really started showing up on dealers shelves this year. Any premium oil will work for lubricating your Micro Carry, you can't go wrong using FP-10 which is recommended by Kimber. As for new magazines, Kimber is showing both the standard and extended magazines in stock.

Welcome to KT, Turnik.

My LGS has mags for Micro and Solo, but don't have any Micro or Solo guns. Go figure.

Turnik, welcome to the site from Tennessee! Magazines seem to be a little hard to find, I don't know a good place, Kimber would be a good place to start.
Several good cleaning/lube products out there. I use Hoppes for cleaning and BreakFree CLP for lube.

If you can't get a Kimber mag, a Sig p238 mag will also work. But their pricy!

Here's a pic of her, what a beauty! I am a little concerned though...I Kimber's website doesnt have any mags in stock and I cant find them anywhere else. Kimbers site also didn't have any replacement parts for it...
