New guys Micro CDP Range Report

Hello all! I recently got rid of my Glock 42 because after 900 rounds, trips to Glock, and my own work I could not get it to run reliably. I was about to send it back yet again when I stopped by a LGD. I saw a Kimber Micro CDP and fell I love immediately. I read a little on this forum last night before registering and figured I would let you guys know how my first range visit was with the Micro.
Here's a quick breakdown:
50 rounds of Federal Hydrashoks with no issues other than the slide not locking back after the first mag.

20 rounds of Federal HSTs with no issues.

50 rounds of American Eagle FMJ. The guide rod stuck out the end of the muzzle by about 1/4" when I chambered a round on two different equations. I emptied the Micro, reset the slide and everything was back to normal. I had two FTEs on the last mag but I really think the box of AEs was underpowered (which is odd) because I ran some Hydrashoks after that and there where no issues.

All in all I really love this gun and it has already proven to be more reliable than the G42. Do these Micros really like JHP over FMJ like I have read on some threads? I pulled my first shot at 7 yards but I am very happy with the accuracy.

Welcome from Michigan, the little Micros are tack drivers. Best 380 I have ever owned.

Welcome from Colorado & congrats on your new Kimber Micro. If I didn't already have a Sig P238 that I love, I would be shopping for a Micro.
