New Micro .380 with 7-round magazine. 3 out of 5 failures to feed in first five rounds using WWB 95gr FMJ.
Nosediving. Have to drop the mag, clear the round, close the slide, insert the mag, and rerack to chamber correctly. One 2nd round chambered OK on its own.

Gun is more accurate than me. Shooting offhand, violent, gusty wind, 3" group at 10 yards. Had trouble with the gusts moving me around, but the pistol is accurate.

Had similar issues at first with my Micro 9. Looks like I've got a bit of cleanup to do this week.

Take a look at your guide rod base. If the base is round that's a good part of the problem. It should have a half moon cut in the base. Call Kimber customer service and they'll send you a new guide rod.
they are accurate as hell.
Good luck

I’ve forgotten, but if WWB ammo is flat nose FMJ, try different ammo that is round nose. I had a terrible time with flat nose ammo in my Micro .380.

It has the half moon.
I'll clean it up, do a bit of polishing, lube, put the MagGuts innards in it, and try it again. Too early to worry yet.

I've installed the MagGuts kit into one of my 7-round Micro .380 mags, converting to 8+1.
The slide locks back after the 7th round ejects, leaving the 8th round still in the magazine.

I'll convert a second magazine and try again.

Edit - I converted a 2nd mag. Same issue, locks back on 7th round.
2nd Edit - I bent the slide stop followers in the mags down 1/32". All is well now. 8+1 flatnose works fine.

Still getting about two nosedives out of an 8-round clip. Tried three brands of JHP ammo on Kimber mag and on Sig P238 mag. Always nosedives on first round both when slingshotting and when tripping the open slide release. I switched to a Sig P238 recoil spring today. No joy - still doing it (the recoil spring does have a nice feel though). Polish job is next, I guess.

Actual problem seems to be that the mag release slot is a little too high by a hundredth of an inch or so, which makes the mag sit low.

nudge the tip of the top round up a bit before inserting the mag.

I've been doing that. Works, but it will still nose dive on the second or third round.

You shouldn't have to do this but...wondering if it would help. Any chance cartridges with longer over all lengths would work? Like 147s?

I use only 147s in my Micro 9 for commonality with my three 9mm titanium cylindered S&W 637-2 J-frames (which can't shoot light weight rounds in order to inhibit the potential for cylinder face erosion).

However, I haven't seen any 147gr ammo for the Micro .380 that we are discussing in this thread. Who makes it?
