New Micro, First Kimber

So I saw a kimber micro at the gun store and had to get it. My current carry gun was a ruger lcp, and a ruger lc9. I always went back to the lcp because of the size and ease to carry. So i decided i wanted a high quality 380. I put about 125 rds through it today. At about round 100 I did have a jam, failure to feed, round was sticking straight up in chamber. Also the bullet was pushed in a little into the case. Now the first 75 rounds were new ammo, some hornady CD, and then i started shooting loose rounds I have saved from various boxes and were several years old. Im hoping it was ammo related or maybe limp wrist?Dirty gun? Anyways, i could not get it to jam again. Even did some rapid fire. Ill put another 100rds through it this week. Overall I love the gun . So much better to shoot than my old lcp. Even fits in my N82 holster from my lcp.

Congrats on your new micro, you will love it. As to the jam I wouldn't worry about one, see what happens with a few hundred more rounds
When moving back to the USA after many years overseas I was asked,

"What is the 1st thing you will do?"

I said, "I will buy a gun."

Asked, "Why"

My answer, "Because I can!!!!"

Congrats on the Micro & welcome to the forum. Follow the manual for the break in period - clean/lube every 100-150 rounds & it should become your new EDC in no time.

My husband had an LC9 for awhile - never liked shooting it myself, wasn't sad when he sold it.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee! I feel that the Micro's need a little extra lube during break in.
I would call that one malfunction a ammo glitch.

Congrat's on the new Micro and welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. Clean it, oil it up good and go run another 100+ through it. Sounds like you will not have any gun related problems.

Welcome from Michigan. It has been an absolutely fabulous gun. I also went from the LCP to the MicroCarry. LCP great belly buster but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. The Micro is the most deadly accurate pistol I have. I think just because of its incredible smoothness. Enjoy, have fun. It does need good lubing as mentioned by someone earlier.
