"super Tuesday" range report...

...I only live 10 minutes from my range and was off today so...
Decided to switch back to the 8# Kimber spring. Cleaned everything up last night, used the Breakthrough solvent and lube again. Brought 100 rounds of Foicchi 95gr FMJ (red box) and a mag of Extrema 90gr XTP. I used the 2 six round mags once each but then stuck with the new 7 rounders.
...happy to report zero issues of any sort :-) So, after getting her back from Kimber and trying both, the stock spring seems to be the more reliable option with the standard pressure ammo I've used.
...here's today's target from about 25'

So with the oem spring, rn fmj Fiocchi ammo, a good lube and with more break-in rounds, you had a flawless day at the range. Good report and thanks for the update. Sounds like you are heading in the right direction.

Any day at the range is a good day, and having a flawless session is a plus.

Kimber calls for a break in period for a reason, parts have to wear in and as that happens resistance in the operation of the gun is going to lessen. The gun will start operating smoother and require less spring pressure to return the gun to battery. if you want to speed this up work the slide and dry fire the gun while your seated in front of the TV at night.
