Rattle Snake Grips!
Must of cooked it wrong or something. Cause if done right, it really does take like chicken. In late spring of '95, we went to Az and stayed in Old Scotsdale... Their winter that year was really warm. It caused a massive growth of Rattlers. People were finding them everywhere. Police and fire were getting nonstop calls to gave them removed and couldn't keep up. Normally, every year there is a small limit you could hunt. The state decided to let everyone have an open season on them to help cull their population. Restaurants put them on the appetizer list.
We went out to eat the first night there. The waitress asked us what we wanted for an appetizer which there were only 2 outside the normal mozzy sticks and such.
Why would I travel just to eat the norm?
So our choices were Rocky Mountain Oysters or Rattler. Lest to say, we ordered rattler which is served with its spine cleaned on the side in case you wanted a souvenir and a certificate with your name on it saying, "I ate the Snake".... I really enjoyed it.
Oysters are meant to be shell fish otherwise if you know what I mean and I couldn't bring myself to order them, lol.
Sorry about your brother.
