New Kimber

I picked up this Pro Carry II (.45 ACP) this past weekend at an estate sale. I've been doing some research trying to find a pistol with similar grips on it and I'm having trouble doing so.

The Kimber folks told me the pistol was manufactured in Feb 2008, but they couldn't tell me which grips it shipped with. They are Kimber grips, but I would like to know if the previous owner may have switched them out with the originals, or if these are the originals.

I guess I've got too much time on my hands!

Congratulations, I’m not sure about the grips. Kimber customer service maybe your best bet.

Kimber grips but I don't think they are the original grips to that 2008 Pro Carry. Kimber used to sell grips that looked like that on there website.

Have you looked on the back of the grips and checked for a number?

I don't know if your gun came from the factory with those grips but the grips are the "Tactical Laminate Grips" I have them on my Ultra Tactical II.

I will take them off and see if there are any markings. I didn't think they were the original grips, but I do like the way they look.

Thanks. Those are definitely the grips. Thank goodness they look much better in person than they do on the website!

There are no markings of any kind inside the grips. Oh well, they are still nice grips and I'm not planning on changing them (yet!)
