Kimber U. C. II's

A couple pix of my UC II's. Went through a lot of cheese doing the two tone thing using all genuine Kimber factory parts but am pleased with the results. These two pistols are extremely reliable, I highly recommend!

Now I need to find a decent shoulder rig w/R and L holsters. I thought it would be a snap, just call Galco and order a LH holster, they wouldn't do it, told me I had to buy a complete LH rig to get the LH holster.

If anyone has a LH holster for a Miami Classic, or a complete LH rig at a reasonable price they don't need anymore I would definitely be interested.

New at posting so I hope the photos come through.

The only time I carry 2 guns is in the extreme cold when I'm wearing a heavy parka. I carry my Sig P938 in the parka's pocket and will use that until I can get to my Ultra Tactical .45 on my belt. I'd rather carry a couple of spare 10 round magazines then a second gun.

John,

That is the game plan, they will carry nicely in a shoulder rig and actually balance out well as the dual magazine pouch throws the rig off a bit.

I hope I can come up with a 2nd holster for the left side without having to buy a 2nd entire rig. Galco Int. has some pretty lousy customer support!

Shoot safe!

Chuck,

It is not easy with conventional holsters, those Kimber Twins will pull your draws down!

BTW, I subscribe to the very same theory about the dogs!

If you never did that before, it will get old fast. Years ago, carrying 1 - 1911 on my hip sucked. Holsters and belts where not advanced then. Talk about pants falling down. All the weight on the shoulders suck.
Plus ya really got to be extra careful drawing rhem. (Hopefully just one at a time)...

I’m still unsure why you want to carry 2 guns in the same manner. If its just about balance, get 4 - 8 rounders on the other side.
Also, wouldn’t you want to get one that had the belt loops?

But imho, you’d better off getting an iwb holster. There are soooo many designs to choose from. Good belt and a good holster is necessary.

I wore my covert once iwb, fell asleep on the couch laying on it. Plum forgot it was there. Lol. woke up without pain or indentations in my hip.

John,

I tried a Milt Sparks Summer Spl. IWB, just wouldn't work for me. Went to a Don Hume J.I.T. Slide, it was better.

I find the shoulder rig very comfy and more important very concealable! at my age I could probably draw the 2nd U.C. II much faster than reloading during a good adrenaline dump.

Hope I never have to put it to the test!

Lol, at our age, we are lucky we can reach that far across.
Thank goodness I am righty. Bad rotator cuff in my left shoulder makes scratching hard as is.
