My first 1911. Kimber Ultra Carry II

I'm going to be a happy camper as long as it's reliable after the 500 rd break-in. I think she's sexy!

Shell be a fine gun. I have the Ultra Covert II and she is sweet. Many here have Ultra sized 1911s and all are flawless.

Welcome to the Forum. I believe you’ll come to love the Ultra. I was a little apprehensive about a 3 inch 45 but after a few hundred rounds I’m apprehensive if it’s not within my reach.

Congratulations, my Ultra TLE II 45 has become one of my favorite guns and I didn’t think I would like it when I made the purchase.

I feel the same way. The UC2 is usually on my belt. It seems to ride easily, and I forget it's there despite its size and weight.

The Ultra Carry ll was my very first Kimber as well. I picked it up at the shop, took it apart right there on the counter, wiped it down and went into the range. First rounds right outta the box are shown in the picture. Shot at 7 meters with no adjustments what so ever. Satisfied? Couldn't be more pleased and have purchased another Kimber since then. Can't go wrong with the Ultra Carry. I'm seriously considering another one in the KHX clothing and 9mm.

Nice! Kimber has the "Ultra" size 1911's down, no easy feat either.

Congrats on your new Ultra!

I have two Ultra's, .45 and 9mm and one or the other is ALWAYS on my hip if I'm out of the house. Zero malfunctions with both, both are my favorite 1911's.

Welcome to the Kimber Klan!

(Love those VZ grips too, my two Kimber Pro CDP's wear them also.....good stuff!)
