K6S disappointed

Pick up my new revolver today and fired 2 rounds and trigger bound up. The end!!!

First Kimber and apparently everything I read about their QC must be true.

Welcome to KT. Sorry to hear that, can you open the cylinder and unload? Look for debris inside extractor star or shaft, maybe not seating all the way? Hope it's a simple fix.

I can open cylinder. When closed just can't pull trigger.

Come On Kimber, Clean up your act. To many new weapons problems.
You are causing me and I'm sure other to question your ability to make a functioning firearm. I know you make thousand of guns. If that's the case, you ought to be able to make them work from the start.

I agree, but my friend got his hands on a NEW Smith 340PD (msrp $1019) and we took it to the range, shot number three, locked up. Couldn't even open the cylinder. Smith has been making revolvers a long time. So it can happen to ANYONE. I have said that before and will say it again. Hate that it happens with your Kimber though! Makes me leery to shoot mine more.

Well unfortunately it is beginning to look like production is being stressed over quality checking Kimber should be a notch above the others but profit sometimes over rides quality control. They think they can soothe your wounds with customer service. This post is the first time I have said anything negative about Kimber. Hopefully 2017 will be a better year. We can make Kimber great again one gun at a time. I stole that line from a guy who is freezing his ass off in Montana.

I run into people at the range all the time who would love to buy a Kimber but won't because of quality control issues. I know Kimber isn't alone in this department but it has to hurt sales and the companies reputation. I'm glad my Kimber's shoot reliably because when they do they are excellent guns.
