Purchased new and after first 6 rds the cylinder started to stick. After 36 rds the cylinder will not close. Had to send back to Kimber and still waiting for it to come back.

Anyone else having issues?

Welcome to the forum from GA. Sorry to hear you are having a problem, no one wants to go through that with a brand new pistol and have to wait to get it back from Kimber! There are a few people on here with K6s, I am not one of them, so can't help. I'm sure someone will be along to give you some info. Good luck, I'm sure it will come back from Kimber 100% again.

Before you sent it off, I would have recommended that you open the crane, and push the ejector rod to the full open position so you can get under the star.

I would have then sprayed it out with electrical contact cleaner and perhaps a clean brush.

A small piece of grit under the star can tie up a revolver, and usually it's the most common problem.

Thanks for replying and that's good advice. And I did just that per the local gun shop I purchased it from. It still would not close. That's when Kimber suggested I send it back.

I have owned and own several revolvers and have not had this issue before.

Wonder if the ejector rod is loose. That would cause your problem.

Kimber has had it for a couple weeks. I'll let everyone know what they say when I get it back.

Welcome to the forum from Northern Illinois. Definitely interested in what Kimber CS has to say. I have a Colt that like to loosen the ejector rod during long range sessions, but this sounds like something else.
