Waiting, waiting

Been waiting long to get my K6s, each time I check dealers basically laugh at large wait list. Is it that so many people are buying them or is it Kimber is releasing them very slowly. None of the authorized dealers in my area have any and do not know when they will. Seems Kimber is just releasing them ever so slowly.

That's just how the Ruger Precision Rifle was released. People were snatching them up so fast there were none to be had. And the auction sites were asking above MSR.
Maybe that's true of all new releases.

Both my LGG's have had only one in the last 15 months. A popular online auction house got one to me in two days at a reasonable price.

Why wait people? There are currently "50" K6S revolvers listed up for auction on GunBroker. The prices on the First Edition models are over 1K but there are a bunch 700-900 dollar range. I can't remember off hand the MSRP but the guns are available.
Check them all you might find one your willing to pay for and probably have it in your hand in 5 to 10 days.

Word.

Long ago I quit paying gun stores a premium price for dumb salesmen, poor selection, and shoddy service. Gunbroker is the only way to buy guns in the 21st Century.

Many of us on this forum have had great success using gun broker. I am one who has never had a bad transaction on GB! I have bought several guns on GB. Saved money every time in comparison with what was being offered locally.

I love going into my LGS and my grandchildren's favorite store is Cabela's but in addition to their higher prices there are additional county taxes. Any gun store located in Cook county (think Chicago and suburbs) has additional taxes on ammo and guns. 1 cent per .22 round, 5 cents per center fire round and $25.00 per firearm.

I may be lucky but I have two LGS's within a half dozen miles from my house that sell guns at internet competitive prices. I always prefer to give them the business even if the local sales tax puts their price above auction line prices. Many times the shipping and transfer fees from auction houses will equal the state sales tax.

Availability is when I check online for a gun.

Amen Rusty, didn't take me long to wise up and stop wasting my time checking the LGS for any weapon I wanted. I LOVE Gunbroker, yes some sellers charge a little more for shipping than others but I feel it all evens out in the long run. I found a FFL guy that works from home and charges me $20 bucks pistol or rifle per transfer.
