Got it ! New K6S in the house!!

I posted about this purchase last week. I put it on lay-a-way and picked it up today. At $679.00 I was afraid I might loose it over the weekend so I put down all the cash I had for a hold. The gun appears as NIB but was told it had only 12 rounds through it ...I believe it. Probably more than the young lady could handle.

My Altamont, Dark Walnut Boot Grips came today too....good timing. The blue rubber grips had to go...(blue??...huh?). The Altamont's feel so much better and you guys tell me how they look.

I fits well in my Blackhawk #4 pocket holster...ordered for a Sig 320 sub. Also some comparison pics with my S&W Airweight Bodyguard. Can you see it UNDER the S&W?

It's way heavier than the Airweight and not what I would call a "pocket pistol" but should ride on the belt well.

Hope to make it to the range Thursday...I'll post a range report and some target pics. Hope this helps those thinking about a K6S. So far I am VERY happy. If it shoots as good as it looks ...it's a real keeper!

I have to agree, the Walnut grips are a HUGE improvement over the blue factory.

No not really. I have big mitts....XXL shooting gloves. I have learned the "two finger" grip with the little finger kind of tucked under the grip and wrapped over with the weak hand. I grip the Bodyguard the same way. It is a trade-off for these small "hide out" revolvers. And it does take some practice but I've been carrying the little Smith for over a year so I'm use to it. The Altamont's have a rounder palm swell compared to the flat sided factory grips and make for a good hold. We'll see how she holds with some full house maggies.

Thanks....I think I made a good choice. But after looking at my own pics I think I might dab a drop or two of stain in the recessed grip screw hole.

Time-out...edit to this sentence what I thought was a bit of unfinished wood in the photos is actually the brass fitting...duh.
