Plans changed - new K6s DCR today

My plan was to buy a K6s w/the 3 dot sights and rubber grip - so I ordered a set of new Altamont Boot grips (checkered Silverback) a few days ago, which are set to be delivered on Monday.....for my eventual K6s purchase.

Well, local Gun Show today and happened to get there when the doors opened to see what was available as there doesn't appear to be a lot of K6s' in local inventory. One large dealer happen to have a few and I actually opted for the DCR (Delux Carry Version) as I liked how the DCR wood grips felt....so I may have a some new Altamont grips for sale soon.

Thanks. What I really like about the K6s is the build quality and the size, as it is really close in size to my S&W 642 5 shot 38.....albeit, a few oz.'s heavier.

Why not hold onto the Altamont silverback grips. I like having a change of grips for many of my shooters and those would look great on your new K6 also. These are my Altamont silverback grips on one of my revolvers.

I still may. They do look good and if they feel just as good or better than the factory Kimber grips, I'll keep em.

Congratulations on the new K6. I just purchased the wood grips from Kimber. Plant to hit the range tomorrow. I do like the original rubber grips. Curious to see how it shoots with the new grips.

Maybe you should bring both sets of grips to the range and see if you like one better than the other. I think everyone likes good looking grips but when your talking a .357 snubbie you may want the ones that function better.

I've been looking at wood grips also. Altamont seems to have some good choices at reasonable prices. Decisions, decisions.
