Clean new k6s dc

Just picked up a new k6s dc. Wonderful revolver. I just wanted to check if there are any cleaning precautions I need to look out for. Can I just clean it as normal with hoppes #9? I can't seem to find any info or it so I thought I'd ask.

Why change what works, #9 been working for me for over 50 years.
Add a little Breakfree, good to go!

Hey, thanks for that. I just wanted to make sure I didn't have to watch for any precautions with the dlc finish. I figured I didn't but figured I better ask.

I only use Ballistol on my revolvers. Cleans and lubricates at the same time. Just spray it down and use an old toothbrush and some patches. The more you use it, the easier and faster it cleans each time. It's also good for both wood and rubber grips. Love that stuff, but your significant other may oppose the smell at first.

They say you dont need to break it down but I remove the crane screw and the grips then let it soak in hoppes #9 for an hour. They blow all the crap off clean every part and relube with Mobil 1 through a hypo. I also use a brass brush to clean the forward end of the cylinder to remove the black rings that form. Been doing that type of cleaning on all my kimbers for 9 years. Never had a failure. Get backward compliments as to why I don't shoot by gun. After I show them the 200 cases that went through it that day they are amazed how clean it. I'm just anal about clean guns.
