Will Kimber make more revolvers?

Just wondering if Kimber will be making only the K6 revolver?

They are offering way more versions of the K6 than I ever thought they would.
I would guess no but who knows what could happen.

I would say if revolver sales are doing good then they will expand their line.

I'd jump on that in a second, the .41 mag is my favorite handgun cartridge.

You and I would be first in line. Its my favorite too. If you hand load for it you can go from a light cowboy load 650 fps all the way to 1600 fps with a 210 grain pill.

I think there will be more variations released. I suspect Kimber will go after what the think is the "meat" of the market. Perhaps a 22LR version? Perhaps an adjustable sight, exposed hammer version??? I'd predict something like that rather than a .41 mag or a 22 Hornet, but hey, you never know.

Kimber surprised me by building a revolver in the first place. They surprised me again with how well it turned out. Perhaps they have more surprises in store.

I did not mean this as a shot at the .41 fans out there. I owned and shot a Smith 657 for many years. It's a fine, versatile and under appreciated cartridge.

My comments well rooted in looking at the situation from a business perspective. What will sell enough to justify the cost of the R&D and production???

Regards

Jimmo

I agree with your theory there Jim, 22 lr or maybe a 9mm variant would be more possible than a 41. But I can only hope. Last one that's available in 41 mag right now as far as a Snub nose carry gun is the Ruger Redhawk. Smith still makes the 57 but not in a Snub carry gun. Probably not enough market for the off caliber but its a great round.
