Kimber K6S Screws

Hi, new member here! I have a new K6S and would like to know what size Allen or hex wrench to use on the side plate and crane screws. I promise I do not plan to tinker with the intervals but would like to be prepared if one works loose from recoil.

Thanks

Thanks. I grew up in Nashville, worked in Paris and Union City, but now live in KY.

Greetings from West TN. My K6S accepts a size T6 Torx wrench rather than an Allen wrench. It's a little loose so I did not attempt to loosen the screws. None of my Allen wrenches were even close.

Thanks. It does seem an odd size.

Has anybody actually looked at the screws to see if they're Allen head or Torx? If necessary you could take a picture and then blow it up.

I finally bit the bullet and tested the screw heads tonight. I found that a Torx T10 best fit the screw heads. I went all the way and took off the side plate. Not only do the internal parts look well machined, but the slide plate was easy to put back on (unlike many S&W revolvers.)
Thanks to those who chimes in.

A 3/32” Allen wrench is the correct tool for the K6s side plate and yoke screws. Not a Torx.

I checked again. The screws on my K6s have a recessed hole inside the larger outer hole which "almost" fits the T6 Torx wrench. The outer hole perfectly fits both the T10 Torx and a 3/32 Allen wrench. Thanks for the correction.
