Range report- K6 DASA 3"

I was able to test the accuracy today at the Koko Head Range in Honolulu. It's a nice gun and not picky about ammo. The single action pull is 3.9 lbs.

Here's the results:

The best groups of the day:

And all the groups. I was getting settled in for the first groups...figuring out a consistent hold. Then I got in the zone.

I'm glad it's a shooter...otherwise it would be up on GunBroker tomorrow. I have no use for it other than a range toy because we can't carry out here.

Thanks for the report. I have one of the first Kimber K6S revolvers in DAO.

They’re very accurate.

Thanks. The sights are fine but I would prefer a thinner front sight. I assume it's a standard .125 width. I find on the short barrel that I don't get as much daylight on the sides that my eyes prefer. But, I suppose that's the reality with a new model and not having many aftermarket parts. Overall, Kimber did very well and I would take it over other brands for this size. The quality / smoothness, etc of the trigger pull is very good for coming out of the factory floor.

Thanks for taking the time to write up a range report. Sounds encouraging.

I'm very happy with my 2" DAO K6s. Its trigger, sights and overall quality got me hooked.

I eagerly wait the general availability of the 3" DASA.

How do you like the grips the gun came with? Comfortable enough?

I would say they are sufficient. The heaviest load was a mid range 38 special. The heft of the gun and grips made it feel pretty tame. I was expecting worse and was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to target sized guns and it definitely felt bigger than a small J frame or the little lightweight Ruger revolvers. I wear XL gloves. In summary, yes it's comfortable enough.

It's not a bad looking revolver either. It looks better to me than the 3" concealed hammer K6s. More balanced.

I would welcome more grip options. Grips are a highly personal thing. What works for my hands may feel "off" for yours.

I expect that will come in time if the gun sells well.
