k6dasa first impression

new to forum not new to guns . this is my first kimber. (3" dasa) i bought this revolver based on numerous reviews saying how good this pistol is ,they were not BSing , trigger ,fit ,finish excellent!. recoil was not an issue (130gr 38 spc rnfp, 357 did not make it in time for range). now the bad,and its probably more of a personal thing, i prefer to have three fingers on a grip, felt like i was not getting a good purchase , and kept moving my grip up. i prefer rubber grips ! i have hogues and pachs on other revolvers and just prefer the purchase i get from them. i have contacted Hogue and was told they have no plans to put rubber grips out for the kimber, but i would be put on a customer inquiry list. not sure what that is . i'll shoot Pach an email and see what happens . so anybody out there thats wanting rubber grips for your kimber revolver contact these companies and see if we can get them motivated to put these out.thx for letting me ramble and i will update when i here back from Pach.

Welcome from NC! Glad to hear it functions well! Hope you solve the grip issue, sooner or later.

Emailed Pachmayer last nite , got a response early this morning, same as HOGUE , no plans for rubber grip. Thx to Pach for a fast response. Once again if you prefer rubber (3 finger) grips contact HOGUE and PACH and let them know. Thx

The CT Lasergrips do not fit the DASA models. Got my 2" DASA today. Disappointed when customer service at CT verified what I had discovered on my own. Also no plans to make them for the DASA models at this time. Bummed out!!!

Those revolver models are new. Be patient! As more are sold the demand for aftermarket parts will push the big companies to make some.

I just won an auction for a new 3 inch DASA and sent Hogue a message on their website with the same request as you. The Hogue Colt D frame rubber grips are great. I will send Pachmayr a message also.

Edit: Just went to Pachmayr's website and they do not make ANY grips for Kimbers. I guess Pachmayr is out of the game.
