Going price for a K6S?

Greetings,

New here and first post. I have been looking at the K6s for quite some time now. Held it a few times and watched many videos but did not purchase it yet. I was curious on what the going price is on these. I see they are on sale now at Cabela's for $719.97 for the K6s Stainless, 3400010 model number. That seems like a good price to me but wondering what others have paid for this particular model. Is there anything to look out for on the new models?

Thanks for any feedback
Sean

The $700+ seems like a fair number. I have a used one and would not sell it for that price.
I had a S&W 640 Pro Series and by the time I had done a trigger job to make it somewhat as smooth as the Kimber, I was over $750. After comparing the S&W and the K6s, I sold my 640Pro.

Sean, welcome to the site from Tennessee.

Did a little search. K6S Stainless #3400010 MSRP @ $899.00. I checked GunBroker and found 6 listings for model #3400010 with prices all over, lowest of the six was NIB and a starting bid $738.00.
I am shocked and surprised Cabela's price was lower than GunBroker only by $179.03 but still lower. Looks like Cabela's may be your best buy.
Not aware of any new issues with the K6s. I don't know how new this model is, I think it has been available on the market for a pretty long time. But I could be wrong about that.

Full disclosure I do not own a K6s. This is my feedback.

Midway also has that model K6 for $719 free shipping. GeorgeGunStore $709 free shipping. GunBuyer.com $699 free shipping.

Thanks for the replies, Just ordered through Cabela's $765 total with tax ($719 +$43 in tax). I used the phone ordering through their website as they did not have any in stock at my local store. Looking forward to finally shooting it.

From Phil's post looks like you could have saved some more $ by ordering from a different source than Cabela's.
Congrats on the K6 purchase.

Sean congs on your purchase. Three weeks ago I bought one with night sights from Smokey Mountain Guns for $700, no tax and maybe $10-15 shipping or it could have been free shipping. These are now out of stock but they do have the basic model for $650. I post this to put folks onto the prices at Smokey Mt.

Helpful and solid information about Smokey Mountain Guns unless your like me and live in Tennessee and they burn us with the state tax.

Welcome to the forum Sean. I’m surprised Cabelas is that close to the internet prices. Everything I ordered these days is taxed and you would still pay a transfer fee, it’s about $30 around here. I think you found a good deal, congratulations.

I think most everyone online has started collecting sales tax on us Tennesseans. I noticed Midway, Palmetto, GrabaGun, SGAmmo and others do. They never used to.
