Hogue Bantam Piranha G10 Grips and ...

While waiting for Hogue to start selling a proper "Control Core" grip that was shown @ 2020 SHOT Show I got Hogue Bantam Piranha - G10 Grips for Kimber K6s

1) as expected they are not really bigger (I mean longer) vs K6S-3inch standard walnut grips - my less than medium sized hands still have dear pinky wanting at least 1/4" or better 1/2" more of grip space at the bottom

2) but both HKS DS-A and HKS 10-A speedloaders now clear the grips w/o sanding

3) also Pachmayr 02652 Speedloader now clears the grips

PS: with 357 magnum ammo that is and w/o strong tilting

JFYI

With the size of the K6, grip length being short it may be something you have to adjust to and get used to.

I guess I'm to old school, I got use to my pinkie hanging. I carried the old Detonics 45 many years before conceal carry and permits were a thing.

I like the looks of that one better than the "control core."

Two minutes on a belt sander and a HKS#10

As for the Hogue G10's
I love them

I bought this used K6S from a Pawnshop Cheap. It was already wearing Hogue Bantam Grips. After a through function workout it will become my EDC. The grips are comfortable but I don't care for their looks.
