I Hate the K6S

I have developed a K6S Fetish. There is something about this Revolver that turns me on. I had Originally bought a 3" DASA shortly after they were released. Then I Lusted for a 2" hammerless which is my present EDC. So before I realized it I had ordered a new 2" DASA which came in today. "Please Kimber Don't release any more new models." my safe is getting full.

So I really liked the K6S for some time now. I reload 357 and 38. To date I have only purchased Ruger revolvers. The other night having a few beers with a buddy I broke down and ordered the K6S laser grip. Realizing the next morning I spent a grand on a pistol. I sure hope itís worth it. Should have it next week. Excited but hope itís worth the money.

Welcome to the site. I have been Shooting Reloading, and Collecting for over 50yrs. I have seen the best, and the worst examples of the big 3 American Manufactures have to offer. I presently own 23 Revolvers. When the Kimber K6S became available, I was interested in it but waited to see how it was reviewed by those who owned them. After seeing many + Reviews, and upon the Realease of the DASA version, I Pulled the trigger on a Brand New 3" Dasa. When I examined it, and fired it, I sort of fell in Love. I found it to be exceptionally well constructed and it's radical design really grabbed me. I decided that I needed a 2" K6S as my every day Carry gun and obtained one. Next one aquired was a 2" DASA which I am sending out for a full coverage engraving. So yes. I think that your $1K was well spent, and hope that you appreciate the K6S the way that love mine...............Lew

Thanks Lew!

Thatís exactly what I was hoping to hear. With your experience, and not to mention you purchased two of them, I think I made the right choice. Thanks for the input!!

Ya, I really hate that DASA 2". When I saw the 3" I thought - this is deplorable and totally unacceptable! I think I'll keep staring at them until I go blind.

How Dare they come out with such a Funky Lookin Gun.
Thank you Kimber "May I have another".

All kidding aside, they are Super Cool.

My only Gripe is that Kimber Refuses to sell me spare parts, forcing the owner to send the entire gun back to them for smithing. If I can work on my S&W, I'm sure that I can handle a Kimber K6

The 4 inch combat version is the one I really like. I think the finger grooved grips are exceptionally good looking

Right now I am beginning to lust after a new Colt Python, but sometimes I think why, when the Kimbers are probably the finest revolvers being made currently.
