Action job on your K6S?

Now that I have some good aftermarket grips for my 3" DASA, and spring is approaching, it is near time to do some shooting. I believe Kimber advertises the DA pull to be 7.5 to 9.5 pounds. Mine feels more like 10 to 12 pounds. But, I do not have a trigger pull gauge that goes that high. Does not matter, as it could use some improvement. Have any of you improved your SA or DA trigger pull?

I don’t know if Apex Tactical makes a spring kit for the K6s but I installed one on my S&W J frame and it’s an excellent upgrade.

Just checked the Apex site. They have no products listed for Kimber.

Thatís too bad because it was really cheap and made a major improvement to the trigger. Hopefully Apex has something they are working on. It might be worth sending them an email.

I cannot imagine a better trigger than what comes on the stock K6s.
Learn to shoot DA with a long smooth trigger regardless of wt. and you will excel at shooting every other type of handgun or rifle ever made.

I agree. Get some snap caps and practice dry firing every eveming. You will learn trigger control and also strengthen your muscles in your fingers.

Start monkeying around with what is already the best trigger in the revolver world and you may start having problems like soft primer strikes, etc.

That's one thing you will never have with a k6 dasa,is many options for anything. But that trigger is even more amazing once you put 500 to 1000 through it.

So far I have only a few cylinders of 38s through my DASA. But it's time to change that. I went to a range yesterday and found I can't hit diddly squat with my little plastic guns, (Glock 48 and S&W M&P Shield 40 with 357 SIG barrel), but I shot fine with my Kimber Arctic and my friend's Colt 357 mag revolver. Even shooting double action I was able to put the 38 Spl rounds all in the center area of an 8" paper plate. Could not even hit the plate at 15 yards shooting bench rested with the plastic pistols. My friend brought his Glock 43X and had the same results. He is a long time competition shooter. So now it's time to get that K6S DASA 3 inch out of the safe and get to work.
