I'm torn: K6 Target or S&W 627 Pro

I haven't had the chance to handle either, because not a single LGS has them in stock. I like the looks of the K6 a lot and its smaller width 1.39 vs 1.75 for the Smith is also desirable, BUT something about having 8 rounds on tap is hard to resist. My M&P 340 is my every day carry, but I envision this new revolver will be strapped on most of the time during cooler jacket weather (Fall Winter Spring) and will be the home defense cannon. Its probably a stretch, but does anyone have both? Thoughts? Help me spend the money I dont have...wisely.

The K6 didn't fit my hand, I didn't like the way it pointed and balanced.

I think both of those revolvers are to big to carry every day, but that's just me...

You won't be sorry if you buy the Smith. But you'll always still want that K-6. Get them both.

K6 is an awesome revolver. One of the most underrated guns out there IMO.

I don't care what anyone says, but the Hillary Hole always has been and always will be a total deal-breaker for me with all new S&W revolvers. Never have bought one and never will. Such a shame as they look neat. Oh well, I'll just keep giving my money to Ruger and Kimber

Ive never shot a Kimber revolver, but I own and sometimes carry a Smith Wesson 3inch model 60-15 in .357.

it has the Hillary hole.
its not an issue with the handgun. you can delete the lock with an aftermarket plug.

Keep in mind, Safe-T-Hammer ( company that designed the lock) bought Smith and Wesson out of bankruptcy, and saved it from ruin.
They are the only reason SW survives today.

SW makes revolvers with or without the hole.
A Smith revolver with a worked trigger is a magical tool that puts smiles on the shooters face.😁

See, thats what I was looking for...support to purchase both! Having others on my side will make a HUGE difference when it comes time to justifying the purchase of 2 revolvers...NOT...but I will try.

I never have had, or know anyone who has had, a problem with the H-hole safety. I do prefer it not to have the safety out of the need to keep it simple stupid, but that really limits the S&W selection. I dont think there is a new S&W 8 shot without the safety. Maybe a pre-2001 model? Dunno
