6.5 Longmaster Classic

There are some of us with no need for lightweight rifles. At my age I'd rather have a little heavier rifle for stationary deer hunting. MY Longmaster Classic 308 is my rifle of choice but I'd like to see more calibers offered. How does everyone feel about a 6.5 Creedmoor LMC with a 26" barrel? Any interest besides myself?

I saw the picture of your Longmaster Classic. Gorgeous rifle. I love those fluted barrels.

Regarding Creedmoor; I stay away from the Rifle Cartridges De Jour. If my 25yo Speer Reloading manual doesn't have load data for the cartridge, it's a wildcat to me.

I have a neighbor that is looking to convert his 5.56 Thompson Contender into a Grendel 6.5. Nuts! IMO, he is just spending money that is burning a hole in his pocket.

I shoot nearly everyday and while I'm pretty in love with anything based on an 06 case I still need 2 new rifles a year to keep me entertained and I get your point but the 6.5 is here to stay

I'd love to get a Winchester Super Grade in a 375, but Hell, my 338 is overkill for nearly everything I might hunt in this prime hunting area.

Hey guys, new to the forum. Looking at a Kimber LMC and Mtn Ascent. Mtn Ascent would be a .280 AI and LMC in 308. However have heard through the grapevine they are Launching a 6.5 Creed Fluted Heavy Barrel similar to Pro Varmint in a Carbon Fiber stock? Waiting to see what launches next month from Shot Show.

6.5cm is an excellent round. It's the new 308.. Plenty of factory ammo out there. From target loads to match ammo. Slightly less less than 308... Shoots straighter.. Despite what people are saying, some of the feeds I monitor are shown downing deer, boar, etc like nobodies business. It's a very straight shooter. I love mine...

7.62 top
6.5cm in the middle...
5.56 bottom...
