6.5 Creedmoor Montana and Sitka Bkacktailed deer

Howdy,
Took the Montana 6.5 Creedmoor to Kodiak for blacktailed deer. Took 5 between two of us with that rifle. Combined with the 143 gr ELD-X the rifle worked perfectly. Four of the five were pass-through, recovered a small amount of lead from the fifth. Love this rifle.

Congrates! Always good to fill the deer tag. Weight of the deer? Antler points? And where is the picture?

We were late enough in the seasons that antlers were flying off when the deer were hit. Either that or that 6.5 mm round packs a hell of a punch! Deer went from tall 2x2 to one broad 4x4. No pix since antlers went flying on all of them. Sitka Blacktails might be cousins to Mulies, but they sure don't score like them!

You're lucky you can take more then 1. Only one here in N.W. Montana, and only a buck. I see lots of does, and feel lucky to see a buck during our 5 week season. My shot this year was a pass thru with the 7mm Mag. In my experience unless you hit a big bone, pass throughs are normal.

1??? You only get 1?

Georgia Season Limit

10 antlerless deer and 2 antlered deer. One of the two antlered deer must have a minimum of 4 points, 1 inch or longer, on one side of the antlers.
