Ok, I'll ask...why would you want/need to do that?

Yeah, never mind forgot you posted in the rifle topic.

Still might be a valid question.

Googled the company. Carbon Fiber rifle barrels? I picked one at random, looked good, sounds good but the one I picked was $900 bucks. Then I saw they sell complete rifles...Wow over $6,000 first one I looked at.
I'm not a rifle guy so I guess I just don't understand. To me the stock Kimber barrel would be fine.

If you wanted a stainless barrel why not just buy a Kimber rifle that already has a stainless barrel?

I've changed barrels on 2 of my Kimbers. One in chrome moly (blued) and the other in stainless. Not sure why you would want a carbon fiber wrapped barrel, since both of mine are Lilja's in Kimber contour and the accuracy is outstanding.

Maybe he is chasing the ultimate lightweight rifle?

Sure hope the OP gets what he wants if he goes through with this. After my last range session with my .308 Hunter, where my four group average at 100 yards. (3 shot groups) was 1.06", with the smallest group at 1/2", I would not even dream of replacing the barrel!

That would be the ultimate lightweight for sure.

I find Kimber barrels to be quite accurate and more than enough for hunting.
