Kimber accuracy

Im hoping to get my new Kimber Hunter borescoped this week and into the hands of one of the most famous benchrest shooters of all time to see what he can do. I want to see how this rifle shot 1" MOA at a hundred when it left the factory.

Bring a variety of ammo. Different bullet weights, different manufacturers, flat base, boat tail, cheap and premium. Kimber doesn't say it will shoot 1 moa with any bullet, but it did leave the factory with a sub moa group. You just need to find the lucky ammo.

What is your rifle chambered in, and how does it currently shoot for you?

Its in 7mm-08. Ive shot 4 different loads through it so far. Remington 120 and 140. Hornady Superformance 139gr SSTs, and handloaded 120gr Barnes. Here are a couple of groups.

I asked them on the phone, what ammo they used? They said "many different manufactors and whatever we have on hand " Sounds like BS to me!

Actually that would be the truth. They keep trying different ammo until they find one that shoots less than an inch. Try some Hornady American Whitetail.

The Kimber in question. What do you think of the camo job?

Nice camo.
What components were you using with the 120 Barnes?

Is the barrel free floated? Does the front action screw bottom out? Someone already mentioned the front scope mount screw. What about the magazine box? Will it move any with everything tightened down?

These are things I always check with any rifle I buy.
