Kimber Hunter

Hey everyone, new to the forum. I have a Kimber Classic Select in 7mm-08 and really love it, killed several deer with it. I'm looking at buying a Kimber Hunter in .308, was wanting to get some input from other's experience with the Hunter and especially in .308. I baby my present Kimber and it doesn't have a scratch on it, I have a Winchester model 70, and same way, no scratches either. So I've been thinking of getting a gun I won't worry about scratching up and the Hunter looks like it would fit the bill.

I don't have a Hunter in 308 but have heard great things about them. I do have a Classic Select in 7 08 and like it. What load do you shoot in yours?

140 remington green box, I've had good luck with them, 2 seasons ago some family members and I were out shooting. I shot my kimber once and cut the top of the bullseye and called it good, my nephew showed up a short time later and I let him shoot the Kimber and he cut my bullet hole. Needless to say he really liked my gun. This was at 100 yds.

Yours is definitely a shooter. Nice when you can find a commercial load that shoots good.
My 7 08 does not like 140gr. bullets very well, but loves 120gr variety.

Haven't tried any 120 grain, may have to buy some, I bought it to deer hunt with and figured 140 would be best.

The 140sp is a great Deer bullet, but so is the 120gr. Nosler BT. I would put it right up there with the 120gr. Barnes.
I was able to coax my 7 08 into liking 140gr. Partitions, but just barely.

I've been looking at several different brands, picked up a tikka t3x the other day, really liked the feel of it, been wanting to handle a winchester xpr, but haven't seen one yet, not in a big hurry, I enjoy looking.

That is a spitting image of my kimber, I like my Model 70, but it doesn't fit me nearly as well as the kimber.
