I have a Kimber of America, Clackamas Single Shot Stainless (SSV) in .223. I know these were produced from 1997-1999 and are referred to as some of the transition models before Kimber was fully operational in New York. My question pertains to caliber offerings.

My research has found that this rifle was made in .223 Rem, and in smaller numbers in the .17 Rem. However I read a post on another site where an individual believed a few were made in .222 Rem also. Does anyone know this for a fact? I can find no published information indicating.222’s were made is the SSV. However, Kimber information is spotty at best in this time period.

I have been researching LH model Kimber rifles and I came up with this about the Kimber 84 centerfire series rifles. This information comes from my Blue book of gun values (32nd edition)

The 84 was offered in .222 rem and .223 says was common uncommon or rare was the more desirable .222 rem. mag.

Single Shot Varmit or SSV was availlable in.17 or .223 1997 1999 which you already know.

I did find out Kimber makes some Left hand models so now I am on the look out for a LH Kimber bolt action rifle.

Thanks for your reply. I see a left handed Kimber 82 on GunBroker now, but it does not appear to be a Kimber original stock. There may be some lefty sticks out there though....
