Kimber Adirondack chamber issue

Had a look see inside my Adirondack .308 today with one of those bore endoscopes. purchased the gun August of 2015. scoped with a Swarovski 2-10 Z3, . I shoot Lapua cased,Win primed, 43.5 gr. , IMR 4064 , 150 gr Sierra, Game king BTSP. Gun has been shot a bit , but nothing too hot. I like shooting it. Anyway take a look at the pictures of the chamber. There warranty states for 1 year . Do you think it's an issue ? Do you think it's an safety issue? anyone one out there with some gunsmith knowledge?

Welcome to the forum badge171, how about stopping by our "New Member Introduction" sub forum and introducing yourself to the membership?

Call Kimbers customer service on Monday and discuss your suspicions with them. They will probably ask you to email them your pictures. Their written warranty is for 1 year but it's not unusual for them to go way beyond that.

They are cracks. I do plan on contacting ASAP. Just seeing if anyone out there had any experience with this type of problem. Can't be mine is the only one. Has to be some type of metal fatigue . Or possibly something in the machining process. Again this is the only rifle from Kimber?? People check your chambers. That bore scope was under 20$.

I'd like to check my Kimber 84M, but lack a bore scope. What unit did you purchase for $20?

Your pics are very nice for a $20 unit, that looks like something every rifle owner could use.

Purchased 5.5 mm endoscope off ebay USB so it plugs into my computer, not phone. has led lights.
Updated on my Adirondack, I just called kimber they replaced the barrel. Test fired for function. Now waiting for the accuracy test. Doesn't sound like they are going to do anything about the paint lifting off my stock. Guess I used up my warranty allotment...

So new barrel. Make sure you check for chamber fit on any neck sized reloads. Check that you are not loading against the lands with the new barrel.

This would be miserable for me. I normally have at any given time, atleast 100 180ís , 100 150ís loaded for hunting, and then more for target.

Weatherby leaves a lot of free bore to reduce the risk of over pressure conditions.

Watch for heavy bolt lift, flattened headstamps as a sign you need more jump or less powder...

Glad the took care of it!

Happy Shooting.

If you havenít tried RL26, do. Itís shooting excellently in many cartridges for me, 243win, 3006, 300wsm, 300WM, have friends getting great results in 7mm and 338 cal as well.

Most are getting an extra 100-200fps
And SubMOA accuracy.
