Need a mount that will move the scope rearward for proper eye relief

I inherited a 270WIN SuperAmerica 8400. The scope that's on it (Meopta Meostar II R1, 4-10x50mm) and needs a mount that moves it rearward closer to my eye as the eye relief just is not right. Can anyone suggest a mount that will move the scope rearward?

Thanks, Chuck

BTW, this is a beautiful piece and I will be passing it down when I leave this mortal coil. That said, this thing kicks like a mule - manageable but it packs a punch.

Chuck, my Kimber 84M is quite happy wearing a two-piece Leupold mount with their 'Low' rings for the Leupold VX3 6.5-20X LR mounted on her.

The nice thing about this mount, is that you can reverse the rear base to give quite a bit of leeway forward/back to get that ideal eye-relief.

There may be other options, but this arrangement works for my purposes.

Im not real familiar w/ Leupold rings but is that a set of 'extended' rings. Those would alllow the rear or one of them to be reversed. They may come w/ both rings 'extended'.

Isn't that the truth. Although I can't imagine a .270 kicking that much. I use one in my deer hunting and the gun weighs in at under 7 pounds.

I'd look for a longer eye-relief scope rather than mounts that will bring it rearward and leave you with a crescent-shaped scar over your eye.
