S/A Fireball

Many years ago I had purchased a Kimber Of Oregon 84 in 221 Fireball Super America from a gun dealer. It has been in my safe since its purchase. I removed it today and after examining it I noticed that on the receiver was also stamped HENKEL TWO, does anyone have a clue what this might be? It was sold to me as new and I have never fired it.

Welcome to the forum "K", I don't have any Kimber rifles but I'm hoping one of our members has an answer for you.

How about stopping by our "New Member Introduction" sub forum and introducing yourself to the membership. Tell us something about yourself, your interests, hobbies and where your located.

"K" welcome to the site from Tennessee.

I've read all the history I can find about Kimber of Oregon rifles and I don't remember anything relating to HENKEL TWO.

Rick, hey Rick you got anything in the old memory bank.

Oh and I would love to see some pics of your SuperAmerica

Just got back from a week at the lake in my camp trailer with wifey and the girls, but after scanning all available memory banks, no mention of HENKEL in conjunction with Kimber in any way. Seems a bit of an anomaly, and I'd be interested to hear of the origin.

But in regard to the 221 Fireball, I'm a big fan, have a Cooper M38 Phoenix Varmint and CZ 527 American in that neat little caliber. It's dynamite on the vermin with Nosler 40gr Ballistic Tips at around 3,500 fps!

Same here I couldn't find any connection between HENKEL/Kimber?

Rick , thanks for checking about the Henkel stamp. I also like the 40grain Nosler BT. I have about 400 rounds that were loaded by Cooper many years ago and they shoot fantastic. I have never shot this Kimber but I bought a couple of the Remington Classics in .221 years ago. I put a good trigger on one and it shot so well it became my go to gun for small creatures, the other never out of the box was finally sold last year. Love small caliber rifles. Again, thanks for checking.
Peace
