Ok , I'll bite for my first post here. #1 The gun was and is beautifully made and finished, absolutely no complaints. Kind of bought it on name only, I have a number of Super America rifles and do not recall hearing any complaints at the time.
#2 25 rds 148 gr golden sabers , 1 ftf
20 rds 124gr hydra shok
60 rds 124gr hydra shok
60 rds 124gr hydra shok , 1 ftf
120 rds 124gr hydra shok, 2 ftf
Gun was meticulously cleaned and lubed with Wilson Combat oil after every
session.
Changed recoil spring just to see if it would help.
100 rds 124 gr HST, 1ftf and 1 slowmotion feed
40 rds 124 gr hydra shok , 1 slow motion feed
425 rds total fired all premium ammo.
All fail to feeds were with the slide held open about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from
closing, a light push from the thumb and the slide locked up and fired.
This was with 3 magazines , did not seem to care which mag was being
used.
Gun is on its way back to Kimber tomorrow, even though it is 4 years old
CS Rep sent me a shipping label on their dime, nice gal.
I'm thinking it needs a good barrel throating job ala 1911. But I'll let Kimber have a go at it first.
