Who has ACTUALLY shot a Kimber Solo?

Who has ACTUALLY shot a Solo AND had troubles?
Are the problem really real or are they artificially amplified?
What loads? What did you try? Factory? Hand-loads? 115grs? 124grs? 147grs? Was it brand new in the box or used?

Warmest regards,
SoloCCW

Here is the link to the Solo satisfaction poll.
This poll is from actual Solo owners.

I have a solo and a micro 9. No issues with either gun but My personal recommendation would be to go with a micro 9. The solo definitely is a gamble. You will either get one that always works or one that will need shipped back to the mothership. There seems to be no in between. Again just my personal opinion. Cheers.

I always use 147grain ball at the range and 147 hollows when carried.
I have used fiocchi and freedom munitions exclusively. Zero issues. Again just my personal experience.

If you get one that works, the Solo is the best conceal carry you can get.
By todays results the odds would be in your favor of getting a good one but still run the chance of getting one that would need sending back to get " Yonkered".

My Solo DC LG has been fine right out of the box but no guarantee yours would be the same.
The new Micro 9 so far looks to be a good choice.
It is a little bigger than the Solo and not as smooth/rounded for conceal carry but less chance of having problems.
Love my Solo and would never part with it, but if starting from scratch I would look very hard at the new Micro 9.
However I would wait until they offered it with night sights.

There are enough actual Solo information threads on KT for any new member or lurker to make a wise and mature purchasing or selling decision for "any" Solo product.

Just buy one and find out for yourself. Let your Ego and Wallet do you thinking.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.

All this is well documented in the Solo Forum, over and over and over.
Almost all the problems are real.
Kimber recommended ammo is documented here and in the manual. Factory ammo 147gr!
I think all but one or two Solo pistols were purchased "New" in box.
Seems like Marshall bought and new one then sold it then recently purchased a used one.

Mine loves 124 and 147 grain jhp and any thing in between .
If you get one stick with it for as long as it takes to run right.
I love mine and had to send it back once. Truth is several other models have also been sent back for help and the new Micros are no exception. Get something and make it work.

I had/have two and they both made the trip back to get Yonkered and both worked fine after that...My first one was well documented on KT and I was so pissed and disappointed because when a person buys anything for $800 you would think it should work as it was intended..

After getting it back it shot anything and everything just like my second one that I bought from a member of KT...

I will only say this if you want to buy a Solo....Using my best Dirty Harry voice...

"Do ya feel lucky SoloCCW" ? "Well do ya" ??....
