ammo report - Fiocchi 124gr FMJ

today I ran some cheap Fiocchi 124gr FMJ through the Solo... standard mag and 8rd extended mag - no failures. I did notice this ammo is not as accurate or consistent as "premium" ammo (of course) but for the price and practice it was fine. It was a bit smokey, but not as much as WWB. Gun showed little fowling, nothing serious.

Good....we went to the range on Monday...shot what I had in the bag. I have never noticed the difference in ammo. As I shoot more I know that I will start to see the difference. We usually shoot American Eagle..didn't have none so we used what we had. I haven't shot any Fiocchi yet.

My recent choice has been Lawman 124, about a buck a box cheaper than AE.

My favorite, and my gun's favorite range ammo is Aguila. If I could afford it, Gold Dot is the most accurate. With that stuff at 50yds I can hold a 2" group and my eyes are NOT what they use to be.

If you can shoot 2" groups at 50yds with a solo your eyes aren't a factor. There's some sort of metaphysical force at play :-) Kinda like Chevy Chase sinking putts in "Caddy Shack". It's a Zen thing.

Please provide more details of how you are able to produce this grouping. It is my and many other's experience that limitations provided by the Solo's barrel length, ammo and shooter variables make this very difficult.

It may be as simple as a older guy with a 3"er dreaming of once being a younger guy with a 6"er.

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.
