VZ Grips for Solo

Was looking at Browning Hi Power grips on the VZ website and saw some for the Solo. Curious if anyone has tried them.

I don't own a Solo, but VZ has some nice looking grips! Make sure you post a photo when you make the switch.

Yes, I put a set on my Solo, but they immediately chewed a nice chunk out of my thumb, and so I had to file down the thumb area to make it smooth (not at all difficult to do).

I also have VZ grips on my Kimber 1911s (but they come factory with the thumb area smoothed and indented).

Are the worth it? Yes. They give you a solid if somewhat unpleasant grip, but I'd trade solid for unpleasant anyday. You can always sand them down to custom, but at some point you end up defeating the purpose (unless the purpose is primarily for show, something I've never understood with a CCW pistol).

I have a pair which resemble the stock wood grips. I tend to look at the less aggressive treatments. I've been very happy with mine.
