Ruger ARX / Polycase ammo - anybody shoot it in a Solo?

I was reading about the Ruger ARX ammo, it's suppose to be considerably lower recoil. I was curious if anyone had tested it in a Solo

...and how will 'low recoil' ammo help your Solo...Soloist....when your Solo is designed to function with 'high recoil' ammo?

Sport/Marshall....I don't post personal gun pictures on KT or any site, for any reason. Never have/never will. Taking IP risk is for those that choose to do so, I don't.

If you have a problem with that, choose a orifice.
End of subject.

The write up about the ammo on the Ruger site looks like a bunch of bull crap to me. Funny looking bullet, I don't believe the sales pitch.
Cabelas sight shows the .45acp ammo has a 118gr bullet, a 20 round box for $20.99.

I will pass. I would be totally surprised if this would function in a Solo.

I won't even try it I don't buy those little 20 round boxes of ammo anyway, I only buy 50 round boxes when I buy factory stuff

Plus that price works out to about $1.05 per round.

This is my take on any of the latest, I will call 'exotic rounds'...
Every industry no matter what, will try market anything to make money.

- When it comes to weapons that will protect us, there is a rule of thumb. Find something designed to do what it was meant to do that has been proven and stick with it.
- Next... smaller guns are rough to gauge what will and will not work religiously. What works in your 9mm full size 1911 may not always work in your 1911 pocket gun.

Our master firearm trainer recommends that anything you plan to shoot, especially for protection , should have a full box ran through to prove its reliability. If it works, stick with it. It can be costly at 26 bux for a box of 20, but is you or your loved ones lives worth not doing it and only hearing a click instead of a bang?

I see no reason to deviate off the norm. Unless this bullet aims itself and cooks breakfast, the heck with it. So, screw this new crap. A hollow point or Critical Defense round or Critical Duty round are probably the most reliable out there. Still, test them in your gun. PERIOD! No ticky? No washy!
You got it brother?

I've never had a failure from my Solo, but I've stuck with what is recommended and works and don't experiment with it beyond that.
